About Michael

Thank you for visiting Michael’s blog!  It’s focus and content are always changing, but he considers that a bug, not a feature.  His interests follow a similar trajectory, moving from chainmaille to spinning to keyboarding to digital photography in a seemingly endless quest for his “thing.”  But that’s okay, it makes life more interesting!  He has vowed to keep looking until he finds something he can be as obsessed about as his wife is about knitting.

Michael lives and works in Columbia, Missouri with his wife, Chelsea.  They were Handfasted (and legally married) in 2004, but they’ve been together since 1997.  They met online, so he has a particular fondness for the internet.  He works at the University of Missouri, protecting servers from ravening hordes of cyber-millipedes and going on repeated quests for caffeine and more hard drive space.  (At least that’s how he describes it on his character sheet).

Michael loves the Twilight Saga, and doesn’t care who knows it.  He also loves the Wheel of Time series, many different roleplaying books, Eric Flint, and L.E.  Modessitt.

Two cats, two degus, a house-boy, a mother-in-law and her pug all live in Michael’s house.  Yes, that’s as…interesting as it sounds.
