Cupcakes!

Mar 2013
13

I made cupcakes for Chelsea tonight.

Last year for her birthday, I bought a cake. It was sub par. So I said I would bake her something to make up for it.

We’re doing the elimination diet and today is adding pumpkin. So pumpkin cupcakes!

(and I did it just before her next birthday)

Yule 2012

Our altar from the ritual this morning. The important thing to note is the masonry jar on the right. This is filled with our gratitudes. It’s nice to have so many things to be grateful for.

Solstice

Yule presents. I love giving gifts. It’s kind of selfish, since I get a good feeling from it. Blue is me to her and red is her to me. It looks lopsided, but we both have the same budget. (and i get handcrafted items!)

Grateful – 081012

It’s been a while since I’ve done one of these and I figured that it’s about time, since things are going so good.

Let’s see..  New phone! I’m actually posting this from my new Samsung galaxy s 3.

So I’m grateful for that, the new furniture, the new apartment to put the new furniture in.

I’m grateful that I got to work on a Habitat for Humanity house. It’s hard, but very rewarding work.

I’m grateful that I get to replace Chelsea’s bike tomorrow.

Life is good.

Lincoln

Jul 2012

When lincoln found out that black Union soldiers were being shot and/or put into slavery, he issued this executive order:

“It is therefore ordered that for every soldier of the United States killed in violation of the laws of war, a rebel soldier shall be executed; and for every one enslaved by the enemy or sold into slavery, a rebel soldier shall be placed at hard labor on the public works, and continued at such labor until the other shall be released and receive the treatment due to a prisoner of war.”

Useful Script

Mar 2012

Here is a script that one of my co-workers wrote.  It goes and does something remotely to a set of servers very quick like using children.  This script has inspired me to build children into any script where I am going to do things to a LOT of servers because it will go much crazy fast. Yes, I’m so excited about this script, that it makes me lose my grammar. 😉

A friend got this at work:

“THERE’S A PROBLEM WITH THE DATA!”

“Which data?”

“LOOK AT IT, IT’S WRONG”

“There’s a very large amount of data, is there something specific?”

“WHY ARE YOU BEING SO OBSTINATE”

Yule Tree

Dec 2011
11

For the first time in a few years we’ve put the tree and decorations up.  We’re feeling pretty good and one of the signs of that is Yule Tree!

Also, this is the first live tree that Chelsea and I have bought together (Also as adults, but those are simultaneous(Nested Parentheses note, I totally nailed the spelling of simultaneous.  I had to look up to see if I had it spelled correctly and I did!))

So here are some pics I took and played with, (Because I’m Michael, that is what I do)

First a regular picture with lights on:

Tree Lights on.

Next we have it with lights off:

Tree lights off.

Now we get into some HDR.  First is with lights on:

HDR tree lights on.

And last we have HDR with lights off:

HDR tree lights off.

I haven’t done one of these in a while.
Maybe I’ll get back on the wagon.

Today, I’m grateful for my second interview with Bloom Health tomorrow. I’m really excited about this possibility.

I’m grateful for bonus monies, it will pay for our trip.

I’m grateful it didn’t precipitate today,  as I was traipsing around the cities today.
